Investment and automated trading risks
Before connecting real money, read what can go wrong and what Bot Shaper does and doesn't do.

Crypto-assets
Investing in crypto-assets is unregulated, may not be suitable for retail investors, and you could lose the entire amount invested.
Crypto-assets are extremely volatile: their price can fall more than 20% in a single day. Markets run 24 hours a day and a sharp move can happen while you're not looking at the screen.
Automated trading
- A bot executes exactly the rules you define, even when the market changes regime and those rules stop working.
- A mistake in a rule, bad data or an exchange outage can trigger orders you didn't want or prevent a position from closing.
- Risk Engine limits reduce the damage but don't eliminate it: a price gap can skip past a stop.
Backtests and practice account
Backtest and practice account results are simulated. They don't include every real cost (slippage, liquidity, variable fees) and don't guarantee future results. A strategy that won in the past can lose with real money.
Use of artificial intelligence
Shaper and AI nodes can make mistakes, misread an instruction or give high confidence to a wrong signal. Always review the workflow before turning it on. That's why every new workflow is created inactive and in the practice account.
Not financial advice
Bot Shaper is an automation tool. It doesn't hold your funds, recommend investments or decide for you: you set the rules, the limits and, if you choose, approve every order. If you're unsure whether an investment is right for you, consult a licensed advisor.
